Impact Response of Preplaced Aggregate Fibrous Concrete Hammerhead Pier Beam Designed with Topology Optimization

This research aimed to study the impact response of topology optimized hammerhead pier beam (HPB) based on density approach. The HPB is prepared with concept preplaced aggregate fibrous concrete (PAFC) comprising two primary approaches; first, coarse and fiber are prepacked into designed formwork. Second, gaps between filled cement grout. In this work, an attempt has been made PAFC. Five HPBs were strengthened steel fibers different schemes, Firstly, was reinforced a full cross-section at 2 4% fiber, while another set beams only in tension zone same amount fibers. parameters included compressive strength, ductility index, number main secondary cracks, failure pattern. It observed that PAFC had increase strength up 56.9%, compared nonfibred concrete. A fully fibered addition best taking impact, initial crack failures 2725.1 J 3009.8 J, respectively, non-fibered beams. Compressive local damage transverse flexural cracks observed, which caused final failure. scheme dosage exhibited higher than normal zone.
